If the tile adhesive dries too quickly, resulting in insufficient open time, it indicates inadequate water retention. If the tile adhesive dries too slowly, it is generally caused by low water absorption of the substrate/tiles, high mud content in the sand, or low temperatures in winter.

1.If the tile adhesive dries too quickly, appropriately increase the dosage of cellulose ether with a viscosity of 40,000–100,000 mPa·s (NDJ viscosity).

2. If the tile adhesive dries too slowly, reducing the dosage of cellulose ether may be considered, but this can compromise the strength of the adhesive. Therefore, the use of an accelerating agent (e.g., calcium formate) is recommended.
